Philosophy Tube

In 2013 the British government tripled the cost of attending university. Abigail suddenly had friends who couldn't afford to study so she began filming herself in her bedroom telling the internet what she had learned that day. Over time Philosophy Tube grew into a global phenomenon, expanding in scope to feature characters, costumes, sets, and a full crew, whilst retaining its core mission to bring education to everyone no matter their income. Every episode is written, produced, presented and directed by Abigail. Philosophy Tube is educational, humourous, and artistic, seeking to bring the benefits of education to all.

Today Philosophy Tube is supported through crowdfunding by its millions of fans. Abigail's videos explore topics as diverse as AI, death, history, sociology, and media analysis. Episodes of Philosophy Tube have advanced the art of video essays and count among the most influential examples of the artform. In 2025 the Philosophy Society of Trinity College Dublin gave Abigail their Gold Medal of Honourary Patronage for exceptional contributions to public discourse. At the same time the Trinity College Law Society gave her their Praeses Elit Award in recognition of her indelible impact on public education and positive contributions to society. In 2026 the British Film Institute selected several episodes of Philosophy Tube to enter their Archive of National Importance as examples of British cultural output that ought to be preserved for the benefit of future generations. That same year Amnesty International gave Abigail a Human Rights Champion Award for her work on Philosophy Tube.
